Got cleared by the doc to walk again. The three little kidney stones should pass with lots of hydration and frequent trips into the woods. The big one (estimated at 8mm) is firmly planted and will probably stay in place until our return in the Fall when it can be blasted. Good news since I have been antsy to get back on the road and make up for lost time.
Actually started walking towards Pittsboro after leaving the doctor office and made it over Jordan Lake. Several really nice people stopped me to express support and wish me well. That never fails to thrill. Both Kimberly and Jill (see photos on Facebook) had heard about my big walk on G105. Then I got into a conversation with a guy who was enjoying a splendid afternoon on Jordan lake. As I stood on the bridge over the main channel, Steve saluted Heart Trek USA. Thanks to all my new friends.
Looking forward to meeting more people and encouraging everyone to get outside, start exercising and enjoy this beautiful Spring.
